Roundtable Meeting - Tuesday, May 14th at Pantego Christian Academy on Park Row.   All units should be represented at Roundtable.

Fourth of July Parade – The Cross Timbers District has a entry in this year’s Parade again. We had a very impressive group representing the BSA and our district last year!!   We encourage all units to be presented, with scouts in full uniform, and unit flags.  Please assign someone from your unit to the District parade committee, and plan be help with your unit’s share of the cost for float decorations and other expenses.   Contact Nicole Harold, tim.nicole@att.net for more information.

FOS – Friends of Scouting – Do you know your unit’s goal for the Friends of Scouting campaign this year? ……do you know how close you are to meeting that goal, and supporting the Longhorn Council?   Please contact Corey Callaway coreyncallaway@msn.com for help reaching your goal.

Cub Scout Twilight/Day Camp – Dinosaur Camp 2019 - Please hype up and promote Day Camp within your units.  If your unit participates in fundraisers for camp (such as Camp Cards), please make sure that Scouts and parents know that these funds can apply to day camp.

Please let us know who your unit liaison is (to help registration go smoothly) by filling out the form on our website (http://bit.ly/2ZmUqvI) or by emailing crosstimbersdaycamp@gmail.com. Otherwise, we will assume your Committee Chair is the best point of contact.

Adult and youth volunteers are required to attend training.  Two in-person trainings will be available:

- May 11, 2019 from 9AM-12PM
- May 25, 2019 from 9AM-12PM

Anyone who is unable to make either one of those training dates should contact us at crosstimbersdaycamp@gmail.com.

Thank you for all that you do for Scouting!

Urgent Flag corp needed Saturday

The scouts need to be there around 12:30 to 12:45.  The event opens with the ceremony at 2:00 pm.

You will need to go through a couple of practice runs of the ceremony.

Find Henry Lewczyk of the chamber to discuss how he wants the ceremony to be delivered.

You will need to bring your own flag(s) to deliver the ceremony.  The ones on stage are to stay on the stage.

Be sure that all non-American flags are lowered during the pledge.

There will not be a microphone for the lead scout to deliver the ceremony.  Therefore, he/she will need to be very loud.

I wished I could be there to help, but I am taking my troop on an outing that day.
